Ordinary grinding wheels,mainly made of normal abrasives,binder and stoma.Normal abrasives include fused alumina abrasives and carborundum SiC abrasives.and fused alumina abrasives mainly mean white fused alumina abrasives,brown fused alumina abrasives and pink fused alumina abrasives;carborundum SiC abrasives includes black silicon carbide abrasives and green silicon carbide abrasives.

First,it is white fused alumina grinding wheel,made from white fused alumina abrasives.Main chemical of white corundum is Al2O3,over 99.4%,but with lower toughness,then it is easy to break when grinding,then white fused alumina grinding wheel is usually used for precision grinding of hardened steel, high carbon steel, high speed steel and grinding of thin-walled parts.
Secondly,Brown fused alumina grinding wheel,made from brown fused alumina which has Al2O3 about 95%,similar hardness and higher toughness with white fused alumina ,is applied to grind high tensile strength metals.
Thirdly,Pink fused alumina grinding wheel is made from pink fused alumina.pink fused alumina own more than 97% Al2O3 and 0.2-1.0% Cr2O3. And pink fused alumina grinding wheels mainly used to grind work pieces with high surface quality requirements such as tools, measuring tools, instruments, threads.
Fourthly.It is the black carborundum SiC grinding wheel.Black carborundum SiC has 98%min SiC,better toughness than green carborundum SiC,then black carborundum SiC grinding wheel is used for processing of materials with low tensile strength such as glass,stone,cast iron, ceramics, refractories and non-ferrous metals etc.
The last one,green carborundum SiC grinding wheel,it is made from green carborundum SiC mainly,and green carborundum SiC has purity more than 99% SiC, mohs hardness 9.4,sharp grains and good thermal conductivity.Then green carborundum SiC grinding wheel mainly is worked specially in processing cemented carbide, titanium alloy and optical glass, honing cylinder liners and fine grinding high-speed steel tools etc.
